Description of Duties:

· Understanding agency mission, vision, goals, user groups, business processes and workflows, and how MaGIK supports the business units.

· Lead and manage project initiatives forward in a timely, efficient and effective manner to meet the agency's strategic goals for the system as prioritized and established by the system's product management framework.

· Must have a strong understanding of software development life cycle models with experience in both Agile and Waterfall software development methodologies and project management principles.

· Conduct Agile project management for both internally developed application projects and externally developed application projects.

· Agile Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, organization, execution and tracking of development tracks which may include multiple projects and concurrent projects across multiple teams.

· Management includes coordination across internal resources and remote vendor development teams.

· Provide strong communication, in depth understanding of joint processes, and experience with Agile development toolsets and methodologies.

· Communicating and coordinating directly with the project teams, and with agency resources, business units, and key stakeholders.

· The project manager must conduct effective communication and coordination with management, leadership, business, and subject matter resources and/or stakeholders as needed.

· Creating strong relationships across all levels of the organization.

· Ability to work effectively and manage projects in a matrixed environment with cross functional teams.

· Maintain and exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Iteration planning activities and standups will be required to work with the teams to track velocity, identify timelines, coordinate acceptance testing and release activities, and meet deadlines.

· Manage application cycles with user story based requirements, iterative design and prototyping, builds, testing, and release management.

· Effectively leverage in-house and vendor development teams and business resources to achieve high quality, timely product releases properly aligned to the organization's strategy and end user needs.

· Ensure software requirements, architecture, and processes are fully documented throughout the projects.

· Coordinate, track, and drive efforts of both business and technical resources.

· Work effectively with assigned resources and vendors to ensure completion of projects on time and on budget.

· Proactively manage project risks - identify, mitigate, and resolve project risks.

· Manage and maintain project plans that communicate tasks, milestones, status updates, and resource allocation.

· Provide experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application development projects.

· Demonstrate expertise with use of software development team toolsets, such as Team Foundation Server and Pivotal Tracker.

· Demonstrate high competence with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.

· Manage release calendar for vendor activities.
