Job Description :
Minimum of 5 years of network support work experience with expert knowledge of routing and switching, 10G fiber optic/Ethernet cabling, understanding of the Internet, Ethernet and possess troubleshooting and triage experience.

Experience configuring TCP/IP and protocols on network devices, activating/deactivation/testing ports.

Experience with Cisco IOS and NX-OS.

Experience with upgrading code on network devices such as Cisco Switches and routers.

Strong understanding of Networking OSI Model.

Understanding of Layer 2 switching, VLAN’s trunking technologies, Aggregation (LACP, PAGP, VPC, MEC; VTP; and STP,(R)PVST(+), MST.

Experience planning and executing network changes.

Experience using routing protocols such as EIGRP, BGP and OSPF

Knowledge of wireless network services and protocols.

Experience managing switches, routers, network taps, load balancers.

Experience with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and metric based reporting.

Ability to take a packet capture and read/interpret results.

Ability to install routers/switches/UPS batteries in IT closets and/or data centers.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.
