POSITION: Business Analysts/Data/Automotive

Job Overview:

Business Analysts/Data analyst that have experience working with Automobile companies, automobile finance or Automobile business in general. They want experience working with BI tools like Cognos, Tableau and/or SAS, with Tableau being first choice. They should also have experience with Teradata. Candidates must have excellent communication skills. They are looking for top tier candidates. To sum up, I need two strong Business Analysts with Data experience using Tableau and Teradata experience. They should have Automotive experience.

Understanding of data management principles and practices
Understanding of data modeling concepts and techniques

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus 4 or more years of professional experience
CBAP and/or CDMP, CBIP certification(s) is preferred, but not required
Job Responsibilities:
Develop business cases, define high level business objectives, and develop key success factors for solution delivery
Elicit, understand, interpret and represent functional and non functional requirements to include business and stakeholder requirements, data and information requirements, data integration, metadata, data quality, service levels and performance
Plan and facilitate requirements elicitation workshops using a variety of techniques such as Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions, interviewing, brainstorming, job shadowing, use stories and other similar requirements elicitation techniques
Function as liaison between information systems group, vendors and other departments as needed
Apply judgment in interpreting and delivering business solutions that optimize the user’s experience
Articulate technology in terms stakeholders and can understand and conversely articulate business concepts and processes to the technical team
Analyze, categorize, document, and validate requirements to the appropriate level of granularity so that technical teams are able to translate to system design
Work with Quality Assurance teams in defining the QA strategy, test plans and use cases for QA activities
Recommend, evaluate, implement and champion changes in processes and procedures in order to improve the work environment
Communicate planned and unplanned activities to appropriate parties as needed
Anticipate and understand the impact of changes in business objectives and its effect on project scope
Partner with management and business units to define innovative ways to utilize data and related tools to advance business objectives
Coordinate prototype reviews

Additional Relevant Experience:
Experience with source system data analysis and solid understanding of various data and file structures
Experience on projects involving data analysis, data mapping, data integration and data warehousing
Technology/Application Requirements:
5+ years hands-on experience working with SQL with an understanding of different data structures (flat files and RDBMS)
Knowledge of data cleansing and data conversion processes, techniques and/or tools
Experience working with a Business Intelligence tool (e.g., Cognos, Tableau and/or SAS)
Experience with Teradata is a plus
