Job description:
Providing the L3 support during weekday L3 and weekend on call L3 support
Handling the P1/P2 bridges (Dba duty /OCC will involve L3/PDBA based on criticality )
Implementing dev/stg/prod change requests and providing support to Unix team for OS activities
Providing QE ,year End ,Month end production supports for cisco RAC production ERP and non ERP env''s
Working on ASM adding/dropping (performing pre req working with SA to get disks ) disk''s to disk groups and maintaining the ASM instances
Rman Backup configuration in Production and fixing the backup issues .
Configuration DNFS for the virtual machines
Trouble shooting workflow mailer issues
Maintaining the dev/stg/prod env''s as pdba
Creating the SR''s with oracle and working with oracle to fix the production issues
ERP enchantments increasing FE nodes as per the business requirement Testing of STG env before implementing in production
Creating the change requests for any production issue and Change Request Reviewing: and For production and providing the steps to implementer .
Working on block corruption issues and fixes for the same
Applying critical bug fix opatches and adpatches
DB troubleshooting ,Performance issues ,ERP front end login issues ,concurrent manager /concurrent request trouble shooting
Taking care of MVDC DC1,DC2 Physical standby ,DR env''s
Filling the GAP''s in physical standby using INC RMAN backup and worked on DR issues
Working on mails received from application team for DB issues and providing the suggestions as per their requirement.
Taking DB hand over''s after the upgrade/migration and validating the env''s
Working archive purge/analyze script issues if in case it fails
Performed multiple Life cycle db/CRS point upgrades
working on EM 12c fixing the alerts like Listener ,analyze and other database metrics
Provisioning patching and applying patches using EM 12c and DB home /Grid home provisioning
Capacity planning for the Production DB''s quarterly and annually getting and allocating space to the database file systems
Helping the MS-team i.e dba duty ,case team and click to chat team in guiding them whenever they ask pdba help
Updating P1/P2 Incidents in RAPM meeting
working on Jira''s for STF and LTF fixes and PBI''s
Working with cross functional team example getting the storage team ,application team ,hosting team,soc team .
Preparing KMS documents for any Db critical/upgrade issues
Resolving case''s which we receive from case team
Providing support on ad-hoc requests from the clients and other internal teams
Knowledge of CASSNDRA will be an added advantage.
