Job Description:
KP Cyber Security – Endpoint Security is seeking a security engineer with experience in administering the FireEye HX application. Candidates should have a strong background implementing and managing security applications on Windows, Apple, and Linux operating systems in a large corporate environment.

Job Role:
This job role will focus on engineering, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and operational steady state administration of the FireEye HX application. Work will involve designing, testing, and applying HX configurations in response to business initiatives, risk exposure, evolving malware threats, and regulatory requirements. The engineer will apply new or in-progress configurations to HX for a variety of operating systems and platforms. The engineer will identify areas of need and drive successful development and deployment of HX to a national network of workstations and servers. Working with state of the art security tools the engineer will collaborate with peers, system owners, vendors, subcontractors, and business partners in performing tasks. As a subject matter expert, the candidate should be able to articulate requirements, risks, and solutions in both business language and technical terms as the development and implementation will involve working directly with support personnel, business application owners and management teams. Job Responsibilities:
The Security and Compliance Software Engineer - Advanced works for the Technology Security and Compliance organization of KP-IT.
The Security and Compliance Software Engineer - Advanced must follow KP-IT’s project management and governance processes; work collaboratively with all KP-IT team members.
Responsibilities of the Security and Compliance Software Engineer - Advanced include:
Leads and Supervises Keeps abreast of hardware and software developments including theory and technique and uses this knowledge to initiate enhancements within the organization.
Demonstrates leadership in time critical or complex technical problem resolution.
Responsible for coordination of technical staffing resources for all software installation and maintenance. Participates on New Product Selection Team Participates in the evaluation of new products or modifications that will enhance operations and development activities.
Assist with the definition of product evaluation scorecard and new product testing plans.
Gathers, Analyzes and Identifies tasks, work effort estimates, and work schedules and provides this input to project manager.
Responsible for managing requirements, designing, developing, implementing, and supporting enterprise application integration across multi-vendor platforms.
Validates application’s ability to meet business, performance, integration, and scalability requirements for each project.
Provides in-depth consulting to management and staff at the highest level in the identification and resolution of major problems.
Provides guidance to Intermediate and Associate level staff.
Generates alternatives, evaluates options and provides recommendations.
Creates and Distributes Creates and distributes software requirements and software testing plan.
Develops, distributes and enforces System Development Lifecycle, programming standards and change management.
Design and Develops Designs data schema and meta-data attributes of various databases and data architectures.
Defines the logic, performs the coding, tests and debugs system components.
Develops specifications based on requirements and performs software development to meet functionality of final requirements.
Develops troubleshooting policies, methodologies, and standards.

Must-Have Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements B.S. degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or other related field,
6 or more years experience as a systems programmer
Significant and relevant technical experience meeting the job description may be substituted for degree requirements
6 or more years related experience as software engineer
Web software development tools experience in areas such as Java, J2EE, .NET, XML Web Services.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with Windows o/s is a must
Proven experience working with a variety of client security applications
Successful track record implementing very large complex projects in a corporate environment and completing work on time
Working knowledge in all Information Security domains
Solid knowledge in a cross-section of common marketplace endpoint security applications
Good-to-Have Qualifications:
Technical operating and troubleshooting experience with Apple and Linux operating systems is a plus Knowledge of regulatory governance affecting information handling and protection (Sarbanes-Oxley, Health Information Portability and Accountability Act, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard)
Ability to conceptualize and produce workflow process diagrams using standardized methods
Ability to forecast and produce project plans
Ability to articulate complex application architecture, configuration, and operation to others in both technical and non-technical terms
Self-motivated and able to work independently with little oversight to complete tasks and deliverables on time Drives for results
Works well with others and shows respect for their participation towards common goals
