Hadoop/Teradata Admin (L3) - Chicago, IL

Hadoop – design/implementation,
Strong SQL and database skills
Big-data project implementation experience using
Ability to work in Onsite/Offshore model
Experience with design and development of using Python, Perl, shell scripting, etc.
Adept at learning new technologies and business functions
Strong problem solving skills, analytical abilities and proven design skills
Teradata - Very good knowledge and experience of working in Teradata Strong at writing complex SQLs, Good Knowledge and Hands-on experience in Unix Very Strong Data Analysis skills Working knowledge of bteq scripts and other utilities of Teradata. Excellent in providing Solutions for data driven applications involving large and complex data Very Good at Data Warehousing Design principles Good understanding of various Data Modeling techniques for DWBI projects Should have experience of working on at least 2 large to complex Data warehousing and BI projects with hands on designing and development experience Other mandatory Skills Excellent Communication skills Very good at engaging Business stakeholders and apt at Business engagement and requirement discovery Able to work effectively with remote locations including onsite offshore stakeholder steams unix, data warehousing design, excellent communication skills, design principles, modeling

Other Competencies:
Remedy Tools /Service Now for Ticketing– Intermediate (Experience Level)
Good knowledge of ITIL v3 process and certification is preferred.
Knowledge of service management tools and methodologies.
Knowledge of service desk and support processes.
Knowledge of incident management
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills

Expectations from the role
Be proactive and cooperate fully with all other internal or external parties to resolve the Calls.
Willing to work on call support.
Adherence to defined call handling procedures and end to end responsibility till call completion.
