Job Description :
Duties & Responsibilities:
§ Create and maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models defining functional and technical specifications for management and business intelligent purposes

§ Define data modeling standards and principles for various levels of data modeling

§ Assist developers, ETL, BI team and end users to understand logical and physical data models

§ Generate and test DDL before deploying in various environments (dev, test and production)

§ Create source to target mapping and maintain data dictionaries and data lineage

§ Correlate the data coming from multiple different sources and create data models to support them

§ Coordinate data flow diagrams, data models, dictionaries and other data management documentation across multiple applications

§ Maintains data integrity by working to eliminate redundancy

§ Works with data transformation teams to ensure that the model design and development is properly communicated

§ Understanding and translate tactical and strategic business needs into data models supporting long-term solutions

§ Work with the application development team to implement data strategies, build data flows and develop conceptual data models

§ Optimize and update logical and physical data models to support new and existing projects

§ Develop best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models

§ Recommend opportunities for reuse of data models in new environments

Skill, Experience & General information required:
§ 5+ years of strong data modeling skills on large scale, high volume data in financial sector

§ Thorough understanding of dimensional modeling, 3NF/OLTP

§ Proven ability to create and maintain metadata repository

§ Experience with any of the major data modeling tools (CA Erwin or Embarcadero ER/Studio)

§ Experience with continuous integration, test-driven/behavior-driven development, and agile development methodologies and frameworks Scrum

§ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, professional presentations skills

§ Ability to query the database and analyze the data

§ Working experience with relational databases like Oracle and SQL server is required

§ Extensive experience utilizing advanced skills in MS Office suite

§ Must have ability to adapt with continually changing priorities and aggressive project timeframes

§ Ability to profile existing database using SQL to understand data inconsistencies and issues

§ Must be detail oriented, a quick learner, and a team worker
