SAS Data Studio 2.2 (upgrading to 2.7),
SQL

Role

The Data Quality Assessment & Monitoring Analyst will collaborate with business process stakeholders, business subject matter experts, data stewards, program managers, information architects, data governance leads, core BAU operations teams, and technology teams driving the implementation of DQ improvements necessary to meet DQ standards. This will involve coordination with Finance, Risk, Consumer, & Commercial LOB business partners along with internal collaboration within the EDIMO Team. This role will also be prepared to operate under data management standards and governance that include business term definitions, authoritative sources, data quality framework, and ensuring there is ownership and accountability for data with each of the data source providers.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or progressive work experience in addition to the experience below
6+ Years of related experience
Excellent analytical and reasoning skills
Understanding of data management /data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data quality
Demonstrated process workflows, system workflows, and requirements documentation related to Consumer, Commercial, Risk, Finance and/or Treasury
Proven ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with key partners in business and technology • Demonstrated project management skills with ability to develop, facilitate and bring to successful conclusion
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written with ability to translate information so that users can effectively understand and make meaningful informed decisions
Ability to identify and interpret stakeholders needs and requirements
Ability to work in virtual teams and matrix organizations
Self-motivated; able to work for periods of time with minimal supervision with the professional confidence to know to ask questions as needed

Experience executing data profiling using DQ solutions such as SAS DataFlux, IBM QualityStage, Informatica, or Podium
Experience designing, developing, and implementing DQ validation rules using solutions such as SAS DataFlux, IBM QualityStage or Podium to inspect and monitor the health of the data
Proficient in designing, developing, and implementing data quality reports and dashboards using BI tools such as SAS Visual Analytics ,Tableau or Cognos
Experience working with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Big Insights/BigSQL, Hive, MapReduce etc
6+ years experience using SQL for data analysis including HIVE SQL for Hadoop/Big Data platforms.
Proficient in Visio and experience in designing data flow and process flow diagrams.
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and knowledge of databases such as Access
This candidate will be working in the Data Quality Ops Group involved in moving 100 data sources over to Data Lake (Hadoop environment
The candidate will be involved in data quality work streams, assessments, exploration, data discovery, profiling and report generation. The group will be focusing on critical data elements.
