This will be at a customer site in Nashville TN.

The VitalSync Onsite Engineer (VOE) is a technical professional position in R&D. This position will be the technical subject matter expert in the field on the Vital Sync platform, applications and connectivity for an existing customer who already has VitalSync installed. A high level of familiarity and confidence with the IT environments where Vital Sync will operate is essential. Must have the ability to engage with prospective IT customers and represent the technical aspects of Vital Sync to assist the clinical team and onsite IT for smooth running of the installed VitalSync and to advance any sales opportunities. The VOE will also engage IT and Clinical users at a customer site to report current system performance and be the first point of support. The position reports to the Manager – VitalSync support and is part of a team responsible for overall Vital Sync support.

The VitalSync Onsite Engineer is a highly motivated self-starter with excellent communication, presentation, and troubleshooting skills. He/she has a strong background in IT deployment and troubleshooting. He/she is expected to be able to interface intelligently and effectively with members of the user community in the business areas that he/she supports. Business and systems analytical skills must be developed at this level. Customer facing role with good empathy with difficult customer issues, as well as the ability to navigate challenging social, territorial and organizational situations in hospital environments.

Daily rounding in a hospital clinical setting and effectively communicate with physicians, clinicians and IT professionals about current system performance
Monitor systems and reboot components that are not responding
Perform thorough system testing for installation performance
Prepare for and run site installation validation activities
Troubleshoot network and WiFi connectivity issues using personal knowledge and industry tools
Participate in daily calls with VitalSync support organization.
Assisting with training clinicians, IT professionals and Biomedical Engineering staff at customer site on technical features/functions
Operate as team player with the ability to lead and/or take direction from others as appropriate
Detail and goal oriented to achieve a desired project outcome
Must be proficient in written and verbal communications
Must be accomplished in LAN and WLAN networking
Must be well organized and capable of executing an implementation
Must be able to work under pressure
Participate in design sessions
Create documentation such as "How-to” documents.

Apply standards per documentation
Provide reports from a system perspective as well as a clinical perspective


EDUCATION: Bachelor''s degree or equivalent experience in I/T or Engineering field (computer science, information systems, etc or Business related.

EXPERIENCE: 5+ years as an I/T professional in this role or related roles, with emphasis on interacting with customers and deploying technology in a customer environment, with a strong preference for hospital experience.

Technical proficiency - has extensive working experience with required technologies and can handle advanced, complex tasks; typically has over 5 years of experience with required technologies.
5 years of Windows system administration.
Experience with SQL server and ability to run basic SQL queries
Familiarity with Microsoft reporting (SRSS)
5 years’ experience configuring network devices like Lantronix Ethernet bridges.
5 years of experience troubleshooting wireless networks
2 years of experience with VMWare
Analytical abilities – has advanced problem-solving skills including very difficult and time-sensitive problems where erroneous decisions could have a significant adverse impact daily operations
