Job Description
Leads the design, testing, implementation, maintenance, and control of the organization''s physical, relational, and object-oriented databases across multiple platforms and computing environments. Develops data architectures and database management policies and standards. Provides senior-level consulting services in the identification and resolution of database issues. Serve as a high-level resource on database management issues, and participate in the planning, design, and usage of data resources. Provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff
Minimum Qualifications
Oracle DB Application developer (PL/SQL)
Conceptual knowledge of queues
7+ Years as a Database Application Developer and Database Analyst
PL/SQL coding 5+ years experience.
Experience supporting Oracle 10g, 11g or 12c on Sun Solaris Operating and/or Exadata
SQL troubleshooting and performance tuning experience.
Experience in version control and release management using tools like SVN
Familiar with software development lifecycle.
Experience in application development with PL/SQL
Experience in UNIX shell scripting
Must be comfortable working on projects, understanding requirements, and meeting deadlines.
Act as the highest level technical role in the design, testing, implementation, maintenance, and control of the organization’s physical, relational, and object-oriented databases across multiple platforms and computing environments.
Leads the development of data architectures and database management policies and standards.
Provides expert-level consulting services in the identification and resolution of highly complex database issues.
Ability to provide 24X7 production supports as needed
Minimum 2 years experience writing korn shell scripts.
Very good understanding of Oracle 10g, 11g or 12c, related Oracle tools.
Able to interact with Data Base architecture and Data modeling team to come up with best solution.
Must be able to support multiple projects at the same time.
Preferred Experience/Skills
Must be an individual contributor as well as team player.
Minimum 5 years experience working with an OLTP application
Minimum 2 years experience with Medium (400G) to Large (1.5 TB) sized databases.
Exposure to multiple operating systems, including Linux and Sun.
Good understanding of Version Control process and tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Project management experience.
10g and 11g experience; 12c experience desirable
Must be able to work independently in a team environment.
