Java/Hybris Developer
Department: IT - IT eCommerce Dev
Location: Watsonville, CA

Job Description

Work as part of ross functional team to design, develop, configure, test and deploy eCommerce solutions (B2C and B2B) for a marine oriented specialty retailer. Must be a developer/analyst experienced in full software development lifecycle, capable of coding in Java. Should have proven experience creating scalable, maintainable, and well documented e-Commerce solutions based on Hybris software platform. Collaborate with business partners, solution architect, IT Operations, and Quality Assurance teams.

· Demonstrated expertise with coding best practices and SDLC processes.
· Provides full life cycle development including technical requirements analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of projects that support business goals.
· Participate in the design, development and support of new software solutions in a team environment with minimum assistance or supervision.
· Codes, tests, and debugs complex applications.
· Design solutions that effectively meet/exceed business requirements
· Unit testing of code
· Troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively
· Delivering projects according to published schedule

Qualifications

· Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science or related field.
· 5+ years’ experience with Java, J2EE and Spring (Servlets, JSP, web services, JUnit, and MVC architecture
· Experience with application servers (Tomcat, JBoss, WebLogic, WebSphere
· Experience with Java-based enterprise eCommerce platforms (hybris Commerce, Adobe Experience Manager, Oracle ATG, IBM WebSphere hybris Commerce is preferred.
· Experience using open source tools (Eclipse IDE, maven, ant, Jenkins
· Experience with source control systems such as GIT, Subversion (SVN
· Understanding of database technologies such as MySQL and Oracle
· Experience with search technologies such as Endeca or SOLR, knowledge of Endeca Experience Manager is preferred.
· Experience with Code Build and Deployment technologies such as Jenkins.
· Familiar with website analytics like IBM Analytics (Coremetrics) or Adobe Analytics.
· Excellent knowledge in OO software architecture/design and application integration.
· Excellent prioritization and organization skills, especially the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
· Familiar with JIRA and Confluence.
· Experience improving and automating business processes through the application of technology.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with all staff levels in the company and with vendor partners/
· Experience working in a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
