Job Title: Product Manager
Location: Columbus, OH

This position will be focused on supporting the Product Manager of Global Controls / Trellis Cooling Manager for the precision cooling business. This position will be involved in all areas of the cooling business and product lines as it applies to controls development and support. This includes requirements creation, marketing to engineering development verification, production release approval, training the sales force, post sales support and feedback of field acceptance from customer to engineering. An understanding of cooling applications within the data center and the basic operation of cooling equipment is preferred.


Provide technical support to field sales and service.
Participate on post sale conference calls to ensure that customer installations and commissioning requirements are satisfied.
Provide feedback to engineering based on customer and sales feedback for all precision cooling products.
Write technical marketing requirements to guide engineering in development.
Perform / communicate minor software changes to standard software releases to acquire large customer orders.
Provide technical advice to consultant engineers for control applications, instrumentation and industry best practices.
Support SFA team creation of control setup instructions for manufacturing.
Some programming may be required for SFA support
Support manufacturing QC department to ensure that new control features are tested properly.


Assist in the creation of sales literature.
Support technical writers to revise control manuals to reflect new control features.
Participate in weekly engineering meetings to validate customer requirements have been implemented and are user friendly.
Provide feedback on human to machine graphical design and layout.
Evaluate engineering specifications as needed.

Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent controls experience
Low voltage / Control voltage circuits
Function Block programming knowledge
Industry standard networking protocols including Modbus, BACNet, SNMP…
Domestic Travel required = 20% to 35%
