Location: Richfield (Locals Only)
Duration: 6 months +
Start: 10/18/16
Interview: 30 minute phone screen for first round, 60 minutes in-person for second round

We are seeking an experienced agile coach and facilitator. We want someone who has seen a lot of teams and projects, and has a deep well of ideas and diagnoses. At the same time, we need a leader who is flexible and willing to support the vision of the engineering leadership.

This role is a great opportunity as this is not a “fix it” project—the team is strong, high-functioning, and opinionated. This job will not be as simple as rolling out a standard agile playbook. We require a candidate who is savvy, persuasive, open-minded, and positive. At the same time, to help restore an optimal balance between Product and Engineering goals, a certain amount of tenacity will occasionally be called for.

Finally, the engineering leadership of this team is organized and decisive. We like people who know where things stand and get things done.

Schedules and runs agile ceremonies: e.g., daily standup, fortnightly sprint initiation & planning, estimating & grooming, team retrospectives, etc.
Establish and lead a new epic/initiative intake process, to limit the amount of work-in-progress that the team undertakes.
Reboot our process to collect high-level estimates to feed into strategic planning.
Negotiates capacity and prioritization between product and engineering functions.
Managers sprint milestones and drive resolution for responsibilities owned by developers, testers, and analysts.
Owns tracking of internal projects to ensure proper documentation & breakdowns exist.
Owns tracking of team efficacy and drives improved outcomes.
Owns & updates documentation describing the agile process.
Interest in capture of story-level data and acceptance criteria. We see this role adopting aspects of business analysis as the team’s practices mature and the worker learns more about our product offering.

Basic Requirements:
Over 5 total years’ experience in any software-related field.
At least 3 years’ experience in agile facilitation, project or program management, product owner, or similar.
Familiarity with variety of agile techniques, including Scrum and Kanban.
Leadership and organization skills are required to direct the activities of the group.
Skills in translating broad strategic intent into tactical plans and directions.
Must have excellent negotiation and conflict management skills.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written also required.
