Job Description:

Cloud Architect/Tech Lead to support a government client. The Cloud Architect/Tech Lead will serve as the manager of complex technology implementations, with an eye toward constant re-engineering and refactoring to ensure the simplest and most elegant system possible to accomplish the desired need. This position requires someone with strong and solid experience in architecting Azure Cloud implementations and other Microsoft technologies in an Agile software development environment.

Duties and Responsibilities: (Please provide this information in list form)
Senior-level professional; able to independently accomplish complex requirements.
Assesses complex problems and investigates, develops, appraises, selects, and presents solutions. Initiates concept development and trade-off studies.
Interfaces extensively with customers, employees, and managers.
Devises tests to use in evaluating, debugging and checking of equipment and systems for accurate and dependable conformance to specifications.
Responsible for researching, planning and overseeing the implementation of complex systems level design concepts and equipment to include interfacing.
Provides guidance to less experienced systems engineers.
Performs complex assignments with little guidance.

Education and Years of Experience:
Minimum/General Experience:
Eight (8) years of technical or functional experience in three (3) or more advanced or emerging Enterprise technologies in areas such as ERP, Oracle, Microsoft, Mobility, CRM, Records Management, and Networks.
Possesses definitive expertise and knowledge of specific methodologies, tools, middleware, process designs, or data management techniques that are deployed enterprise-wide.

Minimum Education:
Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field or equivalent experience in a technical or business discipline. Possesses a relevant industry certification.

Required Skills/Certifications:
Architecting the overall system, by using prototyping and proof of concepts, which will/may include:
o modern programming languages (e.g., Java, .NET, C#, Ruby, Python, Node.js) and web frameworks (e.g., Django, Ruby and Rails)
o Modern front-end web programming techniques (e.g., HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, RESTful APIs) and frameworks (e.g., Foundation, Twitter Bootstrap, jQuery Mobile)
o Relational databases (e.g., MS SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL), and “NoSQL” databases (e.g., Cassandra, MongoDB)
o Automated configuration management (e.g., Jenkins, Jira, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt), continuous integration/deployment, and continuous monitoring solutions
Use of version control systems, specifically Git and GitHub, MS Team Foundation Server (TFS), Subversion
Ensuring strategic alignment of technical design and architecture to meet business growth and direction, and stay on top of emerging technologies
Decomposing business and system architecture to support clean-interface multi-team development
Developing product roadmaps, backlogs, and measurable success criteria, and writing user stories (i.e., can establish a path to delivery for breaking down stories)
Communicate clearly and works with stakeholders at every level
Use of version control systems, specifically Git and GitHub, MS Team Foundation Server (TFS), Subversion

Desired Skills/Certifications:
Experience working a Cloud environment preferably Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Compute Engine, RackSpace/OpenStack, etc.
Certification in a cloud technology a plus
Experience installing, configuring automated testing technologies e.g., Selenium TestingBot, Selenium Gridlastic, MS Test Manager, CircleCI, Tddium
Experience and knowledge of RDBMS, e.g. MS SQL Server, Oracle, etc. and other open source RDBMS
Automated testing technologies
Version control systems.
Web technologies
Knowledge of cloud security implementations.
