Senior Cost Analyst Position
The Senior Cost Analyst, reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, Cost Accounting, is responsible for the accounting and recording of Company owned inventory excess production components. The role will lead the reconciliation effort within Manufacturing Operations Finance and oversees all corresponding COGS spending as well as excess and obsolete requirements. The position will also provide decision support and partnership to the Worldwide Operations Organizations, including Materials Procurement, Manufacturing and Business Unit Finance.
Responsible for timely calculation, reconciliation and reporting of Company owned inventory excess and obsolete components and any related liabilities.
Create and review the controls needed for data accumulation and reporting systems; validation of the quarterly standard costs; report on periodic variances and their causes.
Assist in the tracking and validation of in-transit Company owned inventory in the general ledger.
Perform quarterly excess and obsolete analysis, overhead calculations, and accounting entries.
Review manufacturing contracts and open purchase orders for any related liabilities.
Prepare quarterly accounting memorandum on Company owned inventory.
Coordinate with both internal and external auditors on quarterly audit requirements.
Communicate to management of progress toward goal attainment and action plans to effect course corrections as necessary.
Assist the Senior Finance Manager, Cost Accounting in preparation of periodic management and executive review presentations.
Provide decision support for new process proposals and projects.
Partner with WW Operations and Corporate Finance teams.

Skill Requirements:
Must have advanced Excel skills and be able to handle large amounts of data with accuracy. Advance pivot and formula functions a must.
Must have strong ERP system and cost accounting experience with an understanding of system requirements and controls needed to automate and enhance inventory tracking and recording.
Partner with the business and possess a track record of collaborative work on teams to drive better business decisions.
Ability to translate detailed information and utilize advanced business systems and spreadsheet reporting tools to enhance and simplify analysis.
Ability to prepare accounting memos, extensive analytical schedules, and complex spreadsheet calculations.
Ability to review spreadsheet for completeness and accuracy of formulas.
Must be able to investigate variances that arise from manufacturing activities, determine causes, and resolve discrepancies to ensure accuracy of financial reporting and analysis.
Possess strong business acumen and thorough understanding of financial business processes including supply chain, business unit finance, manufacturing outsourcing, and cost accounting.
Lead small to medium size projects and consistently plays a key role on a larger project team.


B.A. in Accounting required.
A minimum of 3-5 years of Cost Accounting experience in a hi-tech manufacturing environment.
Solid understanding of GAAP. Strong system and cost analytic skills. Must be proficient in Excel formula functions and data tools.
Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
