JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a LINUX System Administrator. The administrative duties will consist of system hardening, ensure the operations of Linux servers and works on installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, optimizing and documentation. Work with internal customers to understand functional requirements and make systems changes as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
2+ years’ experience in Linux Administration production environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administrator will support day to day operational activities for RHEL and OHEL distributions
Use Puppet to update and maintain IP table, CIS control and application as needed
Operational knowledge of Puppet, Satellite, Quest and Spacewalk.
Perform daily system monitoring, verify integrity, availability of guest resources, key system processes, application log, OS log and scheduled job
Monthly Linux OS Patch using Spacewalk and Satellite
Operational knowledge of DNS, DHCP, GPO and ADDS.
Operational working knowledge in a virtualized environment using VMWare.
Monitor Security bulletin from Red Hat and Oracle, apply security related patch
Build automation into daily processes, including server builds, patching, and configuration analysis
Participate in 7x24 on-call support rotation
Scripting knowledge in Ruby and Python.

ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
System Administration Certification (RHCSA) preferred.
Strong leadership, problem solving, ability to work independently yet be able to work with various teams across the company and enjoy teamwork
Experience working with cross-functional teams including development, quality assurance, product management, project management, business analysts, and support.
Ability to learn and implement new technologies and processes
Able to develop and contribute in a fun, fast-paced team environment without losing focus on prioritized tasks
Energetic and passionate self-starter that brings interpersonal skills and creative problem solving skills to the team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
