Title: Performance Tester
Location : Chicago, IL
Duration : 3+ Months
Immediate opening for a Sr. Performance Tester with expertise in HP Performance Center 12 (LoadRunner, Performance Center etc. Your skills are needed to assist a large energy company located in Chicago, IL 60603. In this role you will work on the Performance Testing of a large scale Conversion project taking multiple legacy Asset management Systems and migrating them to an Indus Passport / eSOMS solutions. Activities will include, creation of the Performance Test Plan, Defining the Performance Test Strategy, Development of the Test Scripts and documentation of the results summary. Testing will be done in a Windows Environment utilizing HP Performance Center 12 (LoadRunner, Performance Center etc to develop load scripts based on requirements for the system.
Responsibilities will include:
- Creation of the performance test plan & test strategy
- Development of data driven performance test scripts to help validate performance of applications/ products based on the requirements.
- Utilization of HP Performance Center performance test tools to design and execute performance tests against Applications with a multi-tier architecture.
- Preform the analysis of the data gathered from performance tests with an eye towards application performance, availability and capacity.
- Documentation and communication of results
- Status reporting
Required Skills:
- 7+ years testing experience with over 4+ years of performance testing and engineering of large scale, windows based, web applications.
- 4+ years of experience on any performance testing tool (HP Performance Center)
- Ability to code basic load test scripts
- Hands-on experience with performance monitoring tools.
- Experience with diagnostics tools to identify root cause like HP diagnostics.
- Knowledge of performance bottlenecks and end-to-end performance web performance measures (server response time, throughput, network latency, etc)
- Experience testing SAAS based applications in a Windows environments.
- Strong written, oral & presentation skills.
- Good communication and customer facing skills
