Online Community Specialist (Part-time)

?Client is seeking an online community specialist with excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills to join our community’s team. Working under the Marketing organization, the community specialist will manage community moderation and engagement activities as well as develop and manage community html/css pages and templates.

Description:
Build and manage HTML pages and templates.
· Network with community members and identify community champions
· Respond to community inquiries; identify the best responder as needed
Facilitate discussions and answer questions, including routing escalations to the appropriate channel.
Set expectations and rules of engagement for community participants, and model exemplary online behaviors.
Collaborate with content owners on community discussions and content.
Interact with community members to solicit feedback and foster site adoption/customer engagement.
Move discussion threads to different areas of the community as appropriate.
Monitor and address items in the moderation queue, including SPAM.
Maintain health of the community by archiving old, inactive, or irrelevant discussions.
Troubleshoot community access and usage issues for community members, escalating to developers as appropriate.

Skills/Experience:

Front-end website development with PHP based content management systems, responsive design, HTML5, CSS3
Strong understanding of web standards and usability
Previous experience in an online community position/platforms
Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to write clear, concise, and accurate messages for a variety of audiences while adhering to an established style
Ability to think creatively and develop new solutions
Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
Equivalent work experience
