JOB DESCRIPTION:
Technical Project Manager for the client. Responsibilities include identifying the scope and boundaries of assigned projects, working with internal and external groups to determine project priorities, assisting in the development and documentation of business requirements and ensuring that the project requirements are met within the proposed technology solution and within the approved budget. Projects assigned can include the implementation of purchased vendor application software, in-house software development and infrastructure deployments.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Computer Science or Business.
Strong PC and MS Office skills required, experience using MS Project required.
Minimum 3 years leading medium to large technical projects such as infrastructure, software development or third party software implementations using structured project management practices. PMP certification a plus.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interface with all levels of staff, including the ability to concisely present work.
Strong analytical, organizational, planning and project management skills required.
Must be capable and comfortable working on multiple concurrent projects.
Must work well within a team environment.
Must be able to prioritize and work independently.
The project manager will be responsible for creating and maintaining the following deliverables on their assigned projects: scope document, communication plan, status reports of project progress to stakeholders, change requests, budget tracking, variance reporting, overall project schedule with key milestones, risk log and risk mitigation plans, action item land issues logs, test plans and test cases as needed.
In addition to these deliverables, responsibilities for assigned projects include:
Facilitation of scheduled project team meetings
Communication of project status appropriately to all project stakeholders
Facilitate and document any key project decisions that need to be made
Document, track and ensure action items are worked in a timely manner
Manage project scope
Manage change requests to scope, schedule and budget
Facilitate gathering and documenting stakeholder requirements
Facilitate signoff of project scope and requirements
Facilitate and create RFPs as needed
Facilitate vendor selection and contract negotiation
Create and activate risk mitigation plans as needed
Implement test plan and facilitate testing, including stakeholder signoff, partnering with QA leads as applicable
Identify and ensure client resources are scheduled for assigned tasks
Hold vendors accountable to their project plan
Hold internal and vendor resources accountable to the project’s baseline dates
Candidate is responsible for ensuring that all work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Satisfactory performance and attendance is required as well as a good credit rating, all of which will be verified.
