Our client, one of the largest distributors of natural gas in the northeast US, serving customers in NY, MA, and RI seeks an accomplished Project Analyst.


Description:
Responsible for assisting in the coordination of various activities associated with the projects assigned to the team.
Preparation of detailed schedules that will be utilized to track project progress. Tracking of various aspects of project development and execution.
Reporting of activities associated with budgets and cost controls, task accomplishment, etc. Performance/review of various analyses.
Assist in the development of key project related deliverables assigned by the Project Manager. Perform logistical support to the project managers.
Develop other project related processes and artifacts assigned by the project manager. Ensure team needs are met in a timely and cost effective manner.
Schedule/coordinate activities to include meetings, teleconferences, videoconferences, etc.
Participate in both internal and external meetings, keeping accurate notes and distributing meeting minutes as appropriate. Prepare project organization and communication charts relating to the projects.
Track the progress and quality of work being performed.
Update and monitor progress relating to key project management deliverables not limited to project schedules, action items, issues and risks (overseen by the PM
Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans, work hours, budgets and expenditures.
Assist in the development of project status, program board and / or steering committee material. Provide a central point of accountability for coordinating and processing invoices.
Assist in developing the monthly project forecast and accruals. Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the project team and external parties.
Assist in tracking development, approval and processing for all Statement of works, Engage WPs, other.
Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude, and developing this attitude in others.
Assigned key project efforts such as process flow document and design, business requirements, test cases, deployment plans as requested by the Project Manager.
Assist in the development of the closure paper and associated proceedings.

Requirements:
A Bachelor''s degree and more than 2+ years of related experience OR in lieu of a degree, equivalent work experience.
Knowledge of MS Project, and/or other Project Management software and demonstrated proficiency with the MS Office Suite of products is a must.
Experience in fact finding including knowledge and understanding of where to find and how to present relevant information.
Handle multiple tasks and determine priorities in an ever changing environment. Work independently as well as in a team based environment.
Organize and prioritize work effectively and efficiently. Quickly grasp complex issues and effectively integrate, compile and analyze complex information and data.
Problem solve by providing timely and accurate interpretation of analyses. Remain flexible/ adaptable as priorities change. Positively influence others and gain their cooperation.
