Oracle Database Administrator
Your responsibilities will include fulfillment of daily activities as the Database Administrator that include monitoring and maintaining various Oracle Based environment across multiple factory systems. Responsibilities listed below but are not limited to:
· Resource / space management at database and operating system level.
· Database/Server monitoring (alert log, memory allocation, disk I/O, CPU, database network connectivity, system load
· User management (creating users, synonyms, privileges, roles, quotas etc,
· Monitor our DataProtect (Omniback) backup history for any issues
· Use export/import utility to refresh development databases as needed
· Use Oracle Application cloning utilities to refresh development Oracle Applications environments

Database Releases:
Oracle 8i, 9i, 10gR1, 10gR2, 11gR1, 11gR2

Major Application, DBMS Configurations:
Glovia Manufacturing ERP with release 10gR1 DBMS
Oracle E-Business Suite 12.0 with release 10gR2 DBMS
Oracle Applications Release 11i with release 11gR1 DBS
Web applications with release 9i and 11gR2 DBMS
Data Warehouse application with release 9i DBMS
EDI application with release 9i DBMS on MS Windows XP

UNIX Shell Script, SQL, PL/SQL,

· Database: Toad, OEM, SQL*Plus, SQL*Loader,traditional exp, imp,dpexp,dpimp
· Oracle Applications: “AD” shell scripts, adconfig tool, cloning utilities

· Experience supporting Oracle DBMS releases 9i, 10g, and 11g, or Oracle Certified Database Administrator for one or more of these releases.
· Experience supporting Oracle Applications E-Business Suite release 11.5 or 12.0, or an equivalent ERP
· Exceptional troubleshooting skills for database and operating system issues
· Exceptional collaboration, listening, written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to create solutions with minimal direction.
· Experience in planning, scheduling and executing Oracle backups.
· Work closely with developers, provide Oracle DBA support and technical support for multiple applications in development, UAT, and production environments
· Ability to collaborate with onshore and offshore resources.
· Proficient with Unix/Linux shell scripting on Redhat Linux, IBM AIX, or HP-UX
· Proficient with PL/SQL programming, command line SQL scripting
· Familiar with database and Unix server capacity planning and space management
· Experience in integrating data feeds from Oracle databases , flat files and other ERP/OM systems
· Ensure current documentation is updated and create new documentation as needed.
· Familiar with patching DBMS software and/or Oracle Apps software
· Experience in performance tuning of database, including SQL optimization, SGA/PGA tuning, I/O balancing and memory allocation.
· Experience in designing and Architecture of Databases.

Nice to Have:
· Experience with data Modeling, Database Design and Creation.
· Experience in upgrade and migration of Oracle database to higher version (from Oracle 8i/9i and 10G) in multiple platforms (no more upgrades planned for the Genlyte systems
· Experience in data warehouse development in the areas of integrating with source systems
