Our client, a global Medical technology corporation serving Healthcare industry & technologies, seeks an accomplished Principal Packaging Engineer.


Description:
Exciting contract packaging engineering opportunity in the packaging center of excellence. Opportunity to support high-tech packaging projects and to interact with an experienced packaging engineering peer group. Project list consists of highly-visible new product launches and product transfers.
Involved in resolving the equipment and process-related production issues, activities including equipment, process, materials and method validation as well as statistical analysis and metrics to analyze those systems and processes being measured.
Demonstrates intermediate knowledge of quality engineering policies, principles and best practices. Demonstrates intermediate knowledge of FDA/ISO requirements.
Applies statistical sample size calculations to work for quality determination on projects of intermediate scope/complexity. May act as mentor to less experienced team members.
Applies intermediate understanding of regulatory requirements (cGMP, FDA, ISO, etc to support work with little or no supervision.
Writes test protocol, tests, collects data, and writes reports to validate against plan to ensure product is used as intended.
Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own job family. Applies knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and non-standard situations.
Works independently with minimal guidance. Usually determines own work priorities. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Requirements:
Engineering or technical degree.
Minimum 5 years technical experience with packaging (food, consumer, etc.
Packaging verification/validation experience (executing, writing
Functional computer skills (word, excel, etc.

Nice to Have:
Preference would be in packaging engineers with Medical Device experience. But, if we had a good candidate that came from the food or pharma industry, we wouldn’t rule them out. They do not have to have a packaging engineering degree – as long as they have hands-on packaging engineering experience.
Packaging engineering degree.
Minimum 5 years technical experience with medical device and/or pharmaceutical packaging.
Functional knowledge of ISO 11607.
Functional statistical skills (T-test, p-test, etc.
