Position Description:

Management Information Systems (MIS) Support Programmer/Analyst: Provide support and in-depth systems analysis for mainframe Ford Credit Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW EDW is a large integrated warehouse used for reporting & metrics globally across the company. EDW is highly integrated with many systems and contain numerous internal/external dependencies/interfaces. The position involves interfacing with most all Ford Credit IT and business teams several Ford Motor teams and a variety of external teams. Position also includes analysis of issues & questions, design development and launch of production support changes, and participation in testing with Enterprise Release Management, projects and other applications. The position also includes participation with an on-call 24x7 duty analyst support rotation, handling multiple tasks with varying deadlines, and being flexible to changing priorities. Position Duties: Support EDW systems utilizing Teradata, DataStage, COBOL, DB2 & SQL.Apply analytical skills to diagnose problems, develop solutions and implement corrective actions. Work closely with business and systems partners in issue/question identification and resolution. Interface with numerous information technology groups, including application and service teams. Use USDM methodology while coding application changes/enhancements, developing and executing test plans, and participating in technical reviews. Participate in ensuring Application Control Review (ACR) updates are made appropriately and timely. Participate in technical reviews at appropriate stages of development. Participate in Business Continuity testing.

Skills Required:

Experience in a Teradata, data warehousing environment
Experience in DataStage or similar technology
Experience in advanced SQL and extract, transform and load (ETL) programming
Knowledge and experience with DB2/SQL, FTP, Connect Direct
Analytical experience of complex applications and data relationships
Mainframe knowledge including COBOL, MVS, JCL, CA7, TSO/SPF, SORT, Synsort
Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong drive for results and ability to work independently
Ability to work with cross-functional teams
Demonstrated commitment to quality and project timing
Demonstrated ability to document complex systems
Experience in obtaining and understanding business requests
Experience in creating and executing detailed test plans

Skills Preferred:

Five or more years in Information Technology
Experience with Autosys, Unix Shell scripting
Experience with financial business functions

Experience Required:

Teradata, DB2, DataStage data warehousing environment
MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Experience Preferred:
