Position: QA Tester ( Jr. )
Location: Jackson , MS
Duration: 6-12 Plus Months Contract
Interview Process: Phone & Skype
Primary Skills: QA / Testing methodology and processes, testing web based applications and Java based applications; SQL syntax
Salary When Hire : 45- 50K ONLY

Position Description / Description of Duties:

eDataforce Consulting LLC , a leader in IT staffing and staff augmentation services, seeks a QA Tester , JR. for our preferred client in their Jackson , MI location.


Job Description -


· Analyze requirements/specs for testable conditions/context

· Develop test artifacts – test cases, traceability matrix, test data

· Perform gap analysis of test coverage

· Executes planned sequences of test cases

· Records test results and indicates pass/fail

· Track validation of requirements

· Defect entry, management and closure

· Troubleshoot test results, determine root cause, resolution

· Coordinate/communicate defects to developers

· Write issue/problem reports and update database

· Communicate with QA Leads on defects, issues and risks

Required Skills

· Experience using formal QA / Testing methodology and processes

· 2+ years of experience testing web based applications and Java based applications

· Strong analytical and problem solving skill

· Understanding of SQL syntax, best practices and ability to write well performing queries for testing

· Communication Skills – Able to deliver concise, thorough communication at all appropriate levels.

· Web application testing experience

· Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision

· Must be able to work in a fast paced development environment

· Strong teamwork ability

Nice to Have Skills

· Experience using HP Quality Center / ALM or a similar tool
