Technical Project Manager - NOT Epic Certified.

We are seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Senior Technical Project Manager for a 6-month contract opportunity. They will part of the EPIC PMO team supporting the EPIC PMO Head. Assisting in managing projects related to EPIC program across the roll-outs covering Interfaces, Ancillaries, Cut-Over and related activities. The work will involve intensive planning managing the projects and scope of work. The work also involves facilitating activities enterprise wide to support the EPIC Roll-Outs.
Engagement Location, Hours and Duration:
The engagement will take place at our NYC location. Consultant during this engagement is expected to travel 20% to 30% within the 5 boroughs of NYC.

Overall, support the EPIC PMO Head in planning project management activities such as, managing scope, schedule, and quality of working closely with interdepartmental technical and managerial teams
Coordination to support Cut-Over Team – Collaborate and be accountable for working with all application owners to identify interfaced applications to help determine the disposition status when cutting over to Epic. In addition, manages all scope changes for interfaces, coordinates/facilitates to ensure appropriate resources aligned from interfaces for this activity with the cut-over lead.
Strategic Planning support - Facilitate and coordinate enterprise wide interface development strategies, supporting New York City Health and Hospital EITS policies and procedures. Helps identifies cross-team impacts and helps coordinate cross-team resource allocation, timeline, and drives for results both at program level and project level with accountable PM''s and interface resources
Documentation and Tracking tools - Work on technological development and employment of toolsets to document and track interface implementations, Helps drive efficiencies, establish metrics, and provide dashboard
Ensure that all leadership, clinical and business communities are engaged in the program
Assist application coordinators and other team members in their respective areas
Provide leadership and mentoring to team members
Review and report progress of the project on an ongoing basis
Identify and manage risks and concerns as required
Overall coordination of all phases of the project lifecycle including but not limited to planning, design, building, testing, training, communication and deployment
Develop and assemble project plans and monitor milestones, tasks and schedule; business requirements, risk assessment, document assumptions, status reporting, monitoring/tracking of specific project timeline
Responsible for team meetings, scheduling and assigning accountabilities
Collaborate with team members as well as business unit stakeholders, application owners, technical resources, subject matter experts (SMEs), as well as developers, system testers and vendor
Accountable for project deliverables, evaluates/monitors work on a daily basis; identify resource needs and escalates functional, quality and timeline issues accordingly
Organize and manages internal and external team resources required to support and execute the project
Assists the EHR Program Manager and Senior Project Managers in identifying and prioritizing opportunities in order to meet the program''s deliverables and goals

Minimum Qualifications:
A Master''s Degree from an accredited college or university in Healthcare, Hospital, Public, or Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior or a related field and 6 to 8 years of full-time experience planning, developing and monitoring programs, systems and/or procedures in support of administrative management initiatives, 3 years of which must have been in a responsible managerial or supervisory capacity;
A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in Healthcare, Hospital, Public, or Business Administration, Psychology or a related discipline with 8 to 10 years of experience as outlined, 5 years of which must have been in a responsible managerial or supervisory capacity or a satisfactory combination of education, training and experience.

Department Preferences:

Preference will be given to qualified applicants with:
1. PMP Certification desired
2. Experience working in an Agile work environment desired
3. Master''s Degree is preferred
4. Experience working in a Hospital setting/Healthcare Organization is highly preferred
5. Good knowledge and experience using PM tools – MS project, XL, Word, Power Point, Visio
6. Operational Experience in one or more of the following EPIC Modules:
