Our client, one of the twelve regional Reserve banks in the Fed System, seeks an accomplished Business Systems Analyst.


Description:
The candidate will be responsible for performing system analyst duties for a web-based system.
This position will lead the analysis to merge multiple existing systems’ business functionality into one business application.
Duties will include interviewing customers, users, and other stakeholders, analyzing documentation, maintaining the project’s analysis knowledge base, writing use cases, mocking up web-pages, and developing process flows and activity diagrams.
This candidate may act as the Lead BA, accountable for the quality of the analysis artifacts produced for their project(s) and representing the team during internal audits.
The business clients for this application are geographically dispersed.
Much of the requirements gathering and definition phases will be performed on conference calls with occasional business trips for face to face meetings during initial sessions.
Some travel is required. This person will work directly with our business contacts, as well as working very closely with the leadership team and sponsors of the project.
The development team consists of a project manager, business systems analysts, Java web developers, a report developer, a data architect and an application architect.
Planning and facilitating requirements definition sessions. Development and maintenance of a program roadmap. Maintaining the project analysis knowledge base.
Reading and understanding Entity Relationship Diagrams and data schema. Writing and reviewing use cases. Mocking up web-pages and navigational flows.
Developing process flows and activity diagrams. Maintaining technical artifacts including the requirements traceability matrix, use cases, user interface specifications and migration plans, and other project documentation in accordance with department procedures.
Reviewing analysis artifacts and providing feedback to other business analysts. Participating in test strategy and planning discussions. Performing application testing.
Following department policy and procedures. Adhering to and recommending improvements to best practices and processes.
Participation in Requirements Engineering Board and presentations at BA workgroups. Interviewing, leading and mentoring other BAs on the project.
Performing quality control activities for BAs assigned to the project (Lead BA Participating in or co-leading project estimation with the PM and the development team.
Participating in or possibly leading the Change Control process.

Requirements:
Candidate must be authorized to work in USA without requiring sponsorship.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Eight years of experience performing Systems Analyst activities for web-based applications.
A thorough understanding of iterative development methodologies (e.g., RUP, Agile
SQL experience is required.
Experience developing Use Cases is required.
Experience with process and/or data modeling.
Excellent analytical skills.
Experience testing applications including functional, security, system and integration, accessibility, parallel, etc.
Excellent communications skills including both written and verbal communications and listening.
Experience with configuration management tools used to apply version control to application artifacts.
Experience interacting with a development team including technical and business staff.
Experience with the following tools is a plus: automated regression testing tool, regression testing tool like HP Quality Center, Quick Test Pro, HTML Editor to mock up web pages.
Candidate must be experienced with planning and facilitating requirements definition sessions, and leading detailed analysis and data modeling discussions.
