Our client, one of the largest distributors of natural gas in the northeast US, serving customers in NY, MA, and RI seeks an accomplished Transition Coordinator.


Description:
As a Transition Coordinator in the Program Management Office (PMO), you will assist the Transition Manager in delivering against the Transition model/approach and ultimately ensuring a smooth transition to the new Finance operating model.
The Transition coordinator will work very closely with the Transition Manger and the Finance Directors to ensure the people/work is transitioned in a controlled, organized and structured way.
The role will support the Transition Manager in building out the methodology for tracking and monitoring the progress against the Transition plan
Develop Transition plans, Tracking tools, and status reporting for transitioning work.
Develop tools, templates, and methodologies to facilitate transition of work and people between departments/teams.
Support the business and drive progress against the transition plan.
Act as a central coordination/control point for the business and support them through the transition.
Interpretation and analysis of data to ensure transition activities are captured, understood and supported.
Facilitate the documentation of processes to ensure legacy knowledge is captured and transferred between Finance employees.
Document and track transition activities, risks and Issues.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
Program and/or Project Management experience required, active PMP certification is helpful.
5+ years’ experience working within a PMO/Transition team delivering projects/Transition initiatives.
Both a strong operational and business acumen required.
Ability to work with all levels of management including Executive leadership in a high-paced, stressful environment that is under-going change.
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office product suite, particularly with Project, Excel and PowerPoint.
Expert in Excel preferred.
