Job Description:
Duties:
o Research of new/open source technologies that can assist with data processing architecture
o Debugging installations and configurations
o Considers issues relevant to building distributed systems (security, race conditions, CAP Theorem,
o Diagramming Architecture
Creation of a system that can be easily handed off to support for BAU/Maintenance:
o Documenting repeatable and testable installation procedures
o Documentation of common troubleshooting techniques
o Creating Monitoring and Alerting for system
o Creation of Automated Repair Steps
o Creating automated deployment of infrastructures
o Statistical Analysis of data, primarily machines and processes
Skills and competencies:
o Hadoop and H Base background
o Installing and configuring top level apache projects (moving from Impala to Phoenix) must have Phoenix
o Shell Scripting
o Python Scripting
o SQL
