JIRA Configurator and Administrator, Methodology

Required Qualifications
Define, design, test, and propose configuration additions/modifications to Delivery Solution Architect.
Training JIRA Project Team Support resources.
Create JIRA training and support documentation.
Perform JIRA demonstrations to client project teams.
Assist in gathering requirements for business processes, and determine ways to optimize/improve JIRA/plug-ins setup and workflows, as well as identify where functionality can/cannot meet user requests.
Quality check and test user requested data uploads into JIRA.
Evaluate and recommend new plug-ins to enhance JIRA functionality for end-users.
Develop metrics dashboards and advanced filters in JIRA to provide end-users and business leadership with meaningful operational/performance metrics and status reports.
Regression test all functionality when upgrading JIRA and plug-ins.
Perform technical administration and support of JIRA application, server, databases, and related plug-ins.
Coordinate with primary JIRA Administrator to plan, schedule, implement, and communicate JIRA & plug-in upgrades in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Partner with other IT staff to coordinate infrastructure maintenance and system migrations.
Perform application and system administration tasks when needed, including application and data backups.
Monitor JIRA servers for memory usage. Plan, schedule, implement, and communicate memory upgrades.
Monitor JIRA performance. Make suggestions for improvements, if needed. Execute and communicate improvements.
Monitor JIRA logs. Make suggestions for improvements, if needed. Execute and communicate improvements.
Monitor JIRA databases and copy data from PROD to TEST instance, when requested.
Adhere to and promote standard operating procedures.
Adhere to migration, versioning, change control procedures and standards.
Monitor the expiration date and complete renewal of SSL certificates.
Restart JIRA application, when requested.
Work on special SharePoint projects to ensure any additional functionality follows standards, aligns with the data model and existing Methodology hierarchy, and ensures acceptable site performance for new SharePoint development work.
