Position: Mainframe Developer
Location: Plano, TX
Duration: Long term
Senior Programmer – Mainframe
Responsible for analyzing functional business applications and design specifications for functional activities that result in application software creation or enhancement to satisfy design objectives. Supports all aspects of the effective translation of detailed design into computer software.
Applies state-of-the-art software/database engineering methodologies, tools, and design techniques, as well as applicable software/database standards. Participates and supports systems analysis and design of applications as subject matter experts. Provides expertise in application design, database management and the use of programming languages. Supports testing, debugging, and refining of the application software to produce the required product. Prepares program-level and user-level documentation. Enhances software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency.
