Cloud Network Administration Support Lead
Project Description:
Network Administrator Lead in support of customer managed services implementations to include network, firewall and load balancer support. Deploy and maintain complex Firewall and Network environments. Work with customers and vendors to deploy firewalls, load balancers, and virtual routers. Establish and implement secure connectivity within data centres and to external customers.
Special skill requirements:
In this role, you''ll work with a small team to deploy complex server deployments with a high emphasis on security, availability, and scalability.
Demonstrated ability to be a hands on technical leader for a network team. Have the ability to perform all roles or assign tasks and lead junior members.
Demonstrated ability to implement new technologies, tools, devices, etc into current processes, and procedures
Assist with change management and documentation of customer environments.
Ensure customer uptime through precise monitoring implementations, demonstrated change management and incorporation of best practices.
Displaying expertise and offering best practices to achieve high customer satisfaction.
Install, configure, and maintain network appliances.
Develop automation tools surrounding monitoring, performance and capacity planning.
Participate in on-call off-hours rotation and night deployments, as needed.
Ability to self-motivate and team members to do what is right by the customer
Ability to troubleshoot and performance tune firewalls, load balancers, and virtual routers
Preferred skills:
Demonstrated knowledge of Linux and Windows environments is desired.
Experience configuring and troubleshooting communication issues between services and applications.
Demonstrated knowledge of Network performance tuning.
Demonstrated knowledge of common network troubleshooting tools
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
Ensure Network appliances run at optimal health; performance troubleshooting as necessary (I/O, CPU, identify bottlenecks, etc.
Python, PHP, Perl or Bash scripting experience desired.
Demonstrated customer services skills.
Ability to manage priorities in a driven changing environment.
Candidate will need to have strong communication skills both verbal and written, have the ability to work independently (self starter) and in team environments, ability to response/support critical situations (Crit Sit) and quickly adapt to defined process and procedures.
Skill Required Description
Hands On experience with Vyatta Firewalls or similar Must be of SME level on Vyatta or other firewalls including creating VPN’s from IBM to customers networks

Hands On experience with Citric NetScaler Load balancers Must be of SME level on Citric NetScaler or other Load Balancer technology

Network Management Skills Working knowledge of networking including NIC config, Routing, VLAN/Subnet management, VPN etc.
New technology implementation Demonstrated ability to implement new technologies, tools, devices, etc into current processes, and procedures

Platforms Must possess working knowledge of Linux and windows.
Security Analyst Understanding ITCS104 a plus. IBM network certifications
Scripting ability Python, PHP, Perl or Bash scripting experience
