Elavon is currently seeking an Instructional Designer for the North America division. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing product
training, specifically in the payments marketplace. Excellent verbal and written communication and skills are mandatory, with strong project management and cross-functional team experience. The Instructional Designer is expected to be a team player who will analyze product training needs as well as design/develop comprehensive and engaging product training that will contribute to Elavon’s revenue goals by enabling Sales to accelerate their sales cycles through improved understanding of our products and how they solve our customers’ business problems:

Needs Analysis/Curriculum Design and Development
Successful analysis of product training needs of assigned projects to determine measurable learning objectives.
Experience writing learning objectives and assessments using Instruction Design Theory (ex. Bloom’s Taxonomy/Kirkpatrick’s Model/Systems Approach Model
Define, develop and implement product training programs for Elavon sales teams to support strategic products and industry verticals.
He/She will be proficient in rapid instructional design tools (software) and processes (theories and model
Develop eLearning modules, webcast programs, in-person presentations and hands-on demo materials to support product training through all stages of the product lifecycle. Emphasis on pre-launch stage for new products to ensure in-year revenue goals are achieved through best-in-class product training support for Sales.
Experience designing product training using scenario based stories including script writing.
Maintain knowledge of instructional design industry standards and consistently seek improvement through innovation.
Ensure all product training materials are in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and corporate policies.
Teamwork and Business Partnerships
Collaborate with Learning & Development teams to leverage LMS infrastructure for eLearning courses, integrate new materials into New Hire Orientation program, etc.
Collaborate with Sales Management to identify goals, measurements, provide course participation stats, identify opportunities for remedial product training, etc.
Work with product marketing team to deliver product-specific training modules that enable Sales to grasp new features/enhancements and how to position them appropriately to the target audience and concisely articulates a value proposition that resonates.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Educational Psychology or related field preferred and/or sufficient on-the-job experience.
3-5 years of experience in instructional design and/or product training.
Proven experience analyzing needs, designing, and developing learning deliverables for blended, virtual, and self-paced.
In-class delivery experience is a plus.
Experience with creating educational audio and video. Strong eye for visual appeal in learning design a plus.
Familiarity with POS systems, payment terminals and peripherals, and the role each play in payment decisions is a plus.
Strong Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
Experience with Articulate Storyline, Audacity, Captivate, Cornerstone, and Go Animate preferred.
Experience designing and recording webinars.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with varying timeframes is essential.
Willingness to travel as needed (usually less than 10% of time
