Position Overview:

Great opportunity for an Oracle PL/SQL Developer!
The client is seeking an experienced PL/SQL Developer to add to our distributed application development group.
The candidate selected for this position will work closely with existing Technical leads, and PL/SQL developers on system design, coding, system testing, and transformations based on the data models developed for the new systems. This position requires experience working in an agile environment, with a passion for continuous improvement, efficiency, and excellence. Candidates for this position must be very effective working with others—including other technical resources, the business, QA, and management.
Candidate must possess excellent software development skills and experience.

Requirements:

Must have strong Oracle PL/SQL programming skills
Oracle 10g/11g/12c experience is required
Understanding of Data Modeling techniques and best practices
In-depth knowledge of relational database design and database management systems
Prior experience working with ETL and data migration is required
Experience handling and managing large volumes of data
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve data, system and performance issues
Excellent communication skills Experience:
Experience with relational database design and database management systems (Oracle, MS SQL Server, DB2 UDB etc;
Experience including but not limited to the creation of PL/SQL packages, procedures, tables, views, functions, triggers etc.
Knowledge and experience with use of tools such as SQL Developer, TOAD and ERWIN
Understanding of Data Modeling techniques and best practices
Oracle 10g/11g/12c experience is required
Must have strong Oracle PL/SQL programming skills
In-depth knowledge of relational database design and database management systems
Experience with UNIX Operating System( preferred)
Experience with projects involving ETL of large data stores.
Experience handling and managing large volumes of data
Experience working with OBIEE a plus
Data warehousing experience a plus



Essential Functions:

As part of the data migration workstream, this person will work closely with existing Technical leads, ETL developers, data analysts and other FED ACH SMEs on tasks involving data cleansing, transformation and aggregation based on the data models developed for the new systems.

Create proof of concept for data migration using PL/SQL.
Maintain data integration, data distribution and correct issues as they arise
Work with Data Analysts and SMEs to understand business requirements
Provide technical work estimates and task breakdown
Participate in peer code reviews and provide support to QA/Prod during the test/migration process
