"Job Description:
The Bank of America Network Certification and Lab Management team is a shared services team that directly supports test and certification functions for products and solutions in conjunction with the Network Services Architecture & Engineering organization. Our network labs are leveraged across our internal optical, packet data and security product towers to certify all aspects of daily tasks in addition to validating highly complex networking solutions. The staff resources working in this position will be responsible for the network test and certification of Cyber Security and Data Network technologies within the Bank of America network labs.


Key Responsibilities & Professional Competencies
Directly support the Architecture & Engineering organization for executing component and solution test and certification functions.
Test and evaluate hardware and software to determine efficiency, reliability and compatibility with existing systems.
Provide local software and hardware support requiring complex integrated configurations in the areas of high-speed Wan Routing including MPLS VRF technologies
Develop and write procedures for installation, use and troubleshooting of Integrated Hardware and Software and prepare instruction manuals and training guides as assigned.
Manage equipment shipping, receiving and asset management.
Configure and Install large routers and switches

Responsible for components of highly complex engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities. Establishes input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility, coordination of subsystems design, and integration of total system Will have responsibility for multiple, complex projects; will direct activities of teams related to special initiatives or operations and may have direct reports. Leads the resolution process for complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results. Information Technology degree and/or technology certifications preferred or substantial equivalent experience. Typically 7-10 years of networking technologies and IT experience

Required Skills:

BA or BS in Telecommunications, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Data Communications or Computer Science. 5-10 years of experience in WAN networking.
High-Speed Data Networking and testing experience using IXIA test tools
Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of LAN/WAN support and engineering data networks at Access, Aggregation, and Core network locations.
Strong hands-on knowledge of Juniper/Cisco routing and switching hardware/software/protocols etc such as Cisco 12000, ASR9000, ASR1000, Cisco Nexus
Strong knowledge of Enterprise Routing and Switching protocols including but not limited to MPLS multi-VRF, BGP,IS-IS.

Experience with configuration and support experience in a complex multi-layered network environment.
Excellent customer service skills including reporting, organization, written and oral communication and task prioritization.
Must be highly motivated and a self-directed individual.
Participate in cross-functional teams and ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team.
Experience working under tight deadlines and high pressure environment.
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Capable of quickly learning new technologies and procedures, as well as being willing to train others in procedures mastered as part of implementations.
