Requirement Description:


Required Technical Skills
Experience with IBM i administration: system installs, PTF, deployment, software installation, configuration, security
In-depth IBM i hardware and operating system knowledge and all related system periphery
Experience with administrator job scheduling tools on IBM i systems
Experience in assisting with the installation and administration of IBM i compatible operating systems
Backup design/control
Problem determination and resolution
Security best practices
Provide documentation and training as required
Understanding of production, fail-over, and disaster recovery infrastructure

Required Soft Skills:
Must be a highly skilled professional with strong analytical and communication skills.
Ability to problem solve, multi-task and work as part of a larger project team.
Must possess excellent speaking/writing skills and work effectively with peers and management.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Willing to be flexible and work over release weekends

Desired skills:
Experience with Aldon, MQ
Experience with COBOL, CL, DB2
Experience on IBM i 6. 1 and 7. 2 versions
Prior experience with healthcare insurance payer’s a plus.
