Job Title: Manager, Global Benefits
Duration: 2 to 3 Months Contract
Location: Sterling, VA

The Manager, Global Benefits manages a Benefits Analyst and is responsible for the design, implementation and administration of benefit programs across client. Programs include retirement, healthcare, disability, and other benefits-related programs. This position is considered the global expert regarding benefit design and develops benefit policies, plans, and programs that are linked to the Company’s objectives. It is responsible for evaluating programs through research, surveys, and analysis of benefits trends to support business objectives and ensure plans in compliance with government regulations. They also provide advice and consulting on employee benefit plans, monitor tax and regulatory changes, keep apprised of competitive environment and industry trends, and work on benefits projects as assigned.
Job Responsibilities/Key Tasks:
Leads the development of global benefit strategies and designs for retirement, healthcare, disability, insurance and other related benefits.
Leads the center of expertise for design issues and how design translates into administration and delivery.
Understands employee and business needs, building relationships internally and externally, and shaping the direction of benefits strategy through influence and superior communication skills.
Monitors competitor benefits and trends, keeps abreast of evolving industry trends, tax and regulatory developments as well as social, cultural and legal implications on benefits.
Owns global benefits data including maintenance and reporting.
Builds collaborative relationships with HR business partners and local business partners in the countries where we have payrolls, third party vendors, and a diverse level of employees and management.
Leverages knowledge and experience to develop and mentor others. Lead and develop team members through performance management, training, development, coaching, and feedback.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
5+ years of benefits experience in supervisory roles, including strategy, plan design, cost management and analysis.
Effective project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge of typical legal and regulatory concepts applicable to benefit plans, especially pension plans globally.
Direct experience designing and evaluating benefits programs so that they effectively balance employee needs/value with bottom line costs.
Excellent knowledge of the financial and key contractual drivers of benefit program costs.
Strong analytical ability including a demonstrated ability to develop, present and monitor analytical business cases and project plans.
Demonstrated strategic thinking, influencing, problem solving and decision making skills.
Demonstrated ability to approach complex issues, utilize policy & practices, and data to draw conclusions and develop a solution.
Strong interpersonal, influencing, planning and communication skills and ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
Ability to travel: Less than 10%.
Preferred Qualifications:
CEBS or other benefits certification.
International Benefits experience.
Demonstrated change management experience.
Technical experience with benefits integration as part of mergers and acquisitions.
