Job Description:
Our client is a Fortune 500 company, seeks an energetic problem solver with proficiency in the area of application software testing. This applicant must be highly motivated to meet project deadlines and technology challenges.

This position provides the opportunity for the individual to be involved with the testing of a locomotive based computer system as well as the system interactions with the back office systems. The testing is primarily manual with a desire to automate certain aspects of testing. Testing will be done in a lab environment, often with the use of simulators. The ideal candidate will interface with various external vendors and other QA analysts as necessary to facilitate the development and execution of test cases.

Location:
Midtown Atlanta, just across from Colony Square next to the Arts Center with easy access to MARTA Train & Bus Service, and interstate access
Education:
4-yr College Degree preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related field

Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be responsible for the following:
Track defects in both internal and vendor defect management systems
Add/Update defects in HP ALM (HP Application LifeCycle Management) and Sharepoint
Analyze defects and assign to appropriate resources
Work closely with Subject Matter Experts to resolve system issues
Assist with publishing and distributing Reports/Metrics
Assist with the test execution and the coordination of test execution schedules
Assist with change management as it relates to Quality Assurance
Verify message flow between systems using in-house viewer tool (XML and EMP)
Setup test sets and run planned test cases in ALM
Modify existing test cases and create new test cases, along with identification of test data

Skills:
Required:
Minimum of 4+ years with software quality assurance
Experience in HP ALM: at least 4 years
Experience working with teams to discuss problem analysis, systems defects and requirements
Experience with requirements analysis, test case creation and execution, data analysis, tracking of defects and reporting of results
Experience working in a complex multi-vendor environment
Experience supporting testing activities
Strong teamwork ethic and customer support focus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred:
· Knowledge of scripting/programming languages

· Transportation/Logistic Industry experience

· Regulatory Compliance testing experience


Process:
This position is in our mid-town Atlanta office building with an immediate start date. Contractor is expected to supply his/her own cell phone for work related calls and text message
