As a member of the Rates & Financial Planning team, the Data Scientist will play a visible, strategic role in improving our organization''s ability to make decisions informed by data.

Tacoma Water has a proud tradition of operating and maintaining one of the country''s oldest municipally owned water systems. We own and operate over $1 billion of assets that provide high-quality water to more than 320,000 direct service customers throughout Pierce and King counties in the Pacific Northwest, and received the Platinum Award for Utility Excellence in 2016 from the Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies (AMWA), an organization of the largest publicly owned drinking water systems in the United States. As the Data Scientist in R&FP, you will provide dynamic, actionable insights that are easy to digest at all levels in the organization, and which will help business leaders make well-informed, data-driven business decisions that can be explained to internal and external audiences.

If you have a strong background in data extraction, predictive analytics and developing business/customer insights; if you love extracting, nurturing and transforming a high volume of data into actionable business information and making it readily accessible to stakeholders; if you want a challenging, visible role that will transform our organization and add value to the work we do for our customers, this is the role for you.
