Job Description :
The Intersect Group is looking for a JBOSS/Middleware Engineer to work in Atlanta, GA. This position will mainly be focused on JBOSS administration, This candidate will join a technologically-diverse team of Middleware engineers to help with designing and supporting a rapidly-growing Middleware environment using the latest automation tools.

The candidate will be responsible for a mixture of supporting existing application environments, as well as designing and building new application environments for upcoming company initiatives. The candidate will be part of an on-call rotation. The candidate must possess a strong set of troubleshooting and analytical skills, as well as the ability to research and resolve technical problems. Support knowledge for J2EE Middleware (JBOSS) is a must, and understanding of PKI and certificate management is also required. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders in company initiatives and must be able to drive efforts to completion with minimal direction. He/she will also have a strong passion for developing new and innovative solutions to existing problems and a desire to constantly improve the services we provide to the organization. Finally, and most importantly, the candidate will be expected to have a strong drive and aptitude towards automation.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum of one year in at least one of the following:
Certificate Management and PKI administration (preference given to experience with Certificate management tooling)
In-depth experience with Linux and/or Unix operating systems; i.e. should be fully self-sufficient and be able to perform some troubleshooting tasks on the operating system
Experience with a J2EE platform; i.e. WebSphere, JBOSS, or WebLogic (very strong preference for JBOSS EAP experience)
Experience with Apache, Nginx, IBM HttpServer, or Microsoft IS webservers
Understanding of the JVM and how it operates, i.e., Garbage Collection, Tuning, etc.
Knowledge of how load-balancers, such as NetScaler or F5 appliances work
Strong troubleshooting skills
Ability to create descriptive and effective technical documentation
Effective communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) with various level of stakeholders, from developer to senior management
Desire to quickly pick up and learn a large collection of technologies
Understanding of configuration management concepts and tools and how to use them

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with TIBCO messaging productions (EMS, BusinessWorks, etc
Experience with Apache/RedHat messaging products (ActiveMQ, A-MQ, Fuse)
Experience designing and building JBOSS EAP 6+ (AS7+) environments
Experience with configuration management tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible)
Experience with Rundeck, Ansible, Jenkins, or a relatable job automation tool
