Position: Senior Engineer - API
Location: San Jose, CA
RESPONSIBILITY
Design and build large distributed systems that operate at cloud scale.
Design and implement micro-services and APIs for components to provide internal and external integrations
Design and build container based APIs for hybrid distributed systems using cloud technologies.
Design based on performance, scalability and reliability
Identify code issues in production and development environments.
Identify and implement security measures in various components across the ecosystem
EXPERIENCE
6+ year experience in data driven, start-up environment.
Bachelor''s degree in computer science/engineering.
Extensive experience in designing and writing RESTful APIs.
Past experience in building web services on scalable infrastructure.
Experience with micro-services, REST, XML, Json and other data exchange formats.
Extensive experience in Python, Go/GoLang, Java, Node.JS, Bash, Ruby.
Good to have experience in Scala, Erlang.
Good understanding of virtual machines and container technologies like OpenStack, VMware, Docker, Kubermetes.
Good understanding of fault-tolerant software components, scalable architecture, RESTful designs.
Experience in a product based company e.g. embedded software environment is preferred.
