Job Description
The Global Business System suite is a collection of applications that manage mission critical receiving, dispatching, reconciliation and payment functions for customer’s International Mail Operations. GBS is migrating the existing Receipt and Dispatch applications from Intelligent Mail Devices (IMDs) to new Android devices. The application migration will be implemented following the Agile development methodology.
Resource will be expected to drive the completion of the following activities:
· Develop enhancements and modifications to large mobile android device application (Oracle database, Java Spring webservices
· Conduct component testing of code changes to ensure code addresses the modification accurately and thoroughly.
· Conduct code reviews for code changes made by the development team and providing critical suggestions for fixes and improvements.
· Create and update application designs for application enhancements.
· Support issue analysis and fix activities during test phases.
Required Qualifications:
· Must know Java/Java EE and Java libraries
· Understand XML and know how to modify XML
· Experience in C# or other programming languages
· Be familiar with Android SDK and Studio
· 3 years of client-facing work experience in Android Mobile development and/or Java Platform Language and Class Libraries development
· 3 years of work experience using Java development tools (e.g. Eclipse, JUnit, Subversion)
· 2 years of experience with relational databases and SQL
· Experience in Agile Development and Methods (Scrum)
Mandatory Skills
· 3-5 years Java/Java EE and Java libraries
· 2-3 years XML, Java Development tools
· 2-3 years Android SDK and Studio
· 2-3 years C# or other programming languages
