Working under minimal supervision of the Sr Director, Microsoft Cloud Services, referring only exceptional problems and issues for management review or approval, the Microsoft Cloud Solution Architect works as a technical pre-sales resource on professional services for Connection''s clients around the Microsoft Cloud offerings. The Solution Architect provides intermediate to advanced technical design, scope and SOW deliverables for deployment & migration services to Microsoft customers. The customer-facing Architect delivers Microsoft Cloud deployment planning services, technical writing, develops solutions and consults on complex Microsoft Cloud deployments. The Architect''s primary responsibilities include client interaction, defining and analyzing business and technical needs, solution development, and assisting Sales in closing the SOW deal in a consultative approach.
The Microsoft Cloud Solution Architect acquires new business, expands Microsoft Cloud Services business in current customer accounts, creates and delivers business / technical presentations to C-Level executives and Technical resources highlighting our value proposition as part of a full solution proposal. The Solution Architect role requires an acute understanding of both the technology and business objectives of the account to enable the delivery of solutions that will in turn contribute to the success of existing accounts and the acceleration of new customer volume. The Microsoft Cloud Solution Architect speaks from experience and offers insight on successes and failures relative to the customer''s industry and/or objectives, and provides solutions based on the Connection Microsoft Cloud Services solution portfolio.
Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science or other technical degree preferred.
Minimum of 7 years experience as an architect working in the technology industry.
Attention to detail in composing, keying, and proofing professional business materials
Strong understanding of and working knowledge of the value-added technology industry

Excellent presentation skills with ability to communicate with all levels including the C-suite
Proven track record in writing technical statements of work
