JOB DESCRIPTION:
This consulting position will work directly with the applications manager
and the clients Oracle hosting services manager responsible for planning and
implementing Oracle 12c on the Exadata and Exalogic platforms for 100+
legacy applications. The client desires an expert level consulting resource
to coach the management and team members on strategies and tactics for the
successful implementation. They intend to adopt a DevOps approach for this
implementation with resources dedicated to the upgrade from both the
platform(s) and application layers.

REQUIRED:
The ideal candidate will bring with them a toolset which the state can use
for analysis of applications to identify and address potential pain points
in an Oracle Exadata / 12c upgrade.
15+ years of IT experience in an Enterprise DB environment.
Expertise of migration and consolidation of Oracle Databases
on to Exadata
Upgrade from Oracle 11g to 12C Pluggable Databases on Exadata
Extensive database administration experience with Oracle 11g
and 12c databases
Expertise in performance tuning
Expertise in Oracle Exadata Database Machine architecture
Unix/Linux: Advanced
Exadata/Exalogic Platform: Advanced
Oracle RDBMS/Fusion Middleware: Advanced
DevOps: Advanced
Experience within the following areas are required:
Large scale Oracle 12c upgrades for database and middleware
Conducting Exadata / Exalogic implementations
Working in a DevOps environment
PREFERRED:
Expertise in managing multiple Oracle Exadata Database
Machines.
Expertise in database administration with Oracle RAC and
Multitenant databases
Expertise in Exadata quarterly patch management, to include
rolling patches
Expertise in backup and recovery strategy, to include RMAN
Expertise in Data Guard
Expertise in Oracle Enterprise Manager (10g and up), Oracle
Grid Control and Oracle Cloud Control
Expertise of OLTP (Online Transaction Processing) and DSS
(Decision Support Systems), Data Warehousing
Expertise with Storage Management
Designed a Backup and Recovery strategy for RAC environments.
Experience with scripting languages, such as, PL/SQL, JAVA and
Python
Understanding of critical hardware information for the
database machine
Experience on Data warehousing, Big Data and other leading
data technologies.
Experience with latest technology stack and the cloud
platforms Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.
Experience in managing delivery of backend, middle-tier and
web projects using technology stack like Java, J2EE, SQL, PL/SQL, HTML5,
CSS3, JavaScript, and other web technologies.
