Project Background & Expected Results:

The Business Engineering (BE) group, within the Investments and Capital
Markets Business Technology Office (I&CM BTO), is responsible for
delivering and managing technology solutions that support the entire I&CM
division. BE works closely with our customers across the organization to
develop/maintain solutions and infrastructure that enhance and streamline
business processes, while reducing risk. We also support critical
data-centric infrastructure and processes vital to I&CM. The candidate will
work closely with BE team members and business partners to develop,
enhance, and maintain applications/infrastructure for small to medium sized
applications, with particular emphasis on support.

Requirements:

The position requires a Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related
discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from
which comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired, as well as two years
of system applications development experience and two years of data
modelling experience.

Required Skills: Java/J2EE, Javascript, Weblogic/Tomcat, SQL (Sybase,
Oracle, MSSQL, DB2), HTML/CSS, Shell scripting, autosys, GIT

The following experience is required:

Experience in design, development, integration and testing of software
solutions based on J2EE technologies including servlets, Java Server Pages
(JSP), JDBC, and JNDI.
Knowledge of Application and Web Servers such as Weblogic and Apache
Tomcat.

Extensive experience communicating with relational databases through JDBC
such as Oracle, DB2, Sybase and MSSQL.

Proficiency in object-oriented application design and integration
patterns and ability to apply design patterns to solve technical problems.
Knowledge and experience in full Software Development Life Cycle
methodologies and best practices.

Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks based on process criticality.

The candidate should be able to work within a well-documented project
methodology such as SDLC or Agile. A detailed knowledge of fixed income
securities and analytics, and experience of working with fixed income
trading desks and modeling areas is a plus.
