Technical/Functional Skills
The Manufacturing Engineer should excel in an environment that embraces teamwork, change, risk-based decision-making and flexibility
Knowledge of metallic manufacturing process
Knowledge of plastic manufacturing process
Knowledge of medical device manufacturing process
Experience in production and processing
Knowledge of machine and tools
Knowledge of medical device regulations
Aware of design transfer, troubleshooting
Experience in: CAD, CAD/CAM Circuit Design

Experience Required
Experience in a highly regulated industry is required. Medical Device and/or Pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
Experience in conducting IQ/OQ/PQ is highly recommended.
Mechanical product knowledge is preferred.
Experience with blueprint reading/literacy including GDnT is preferred. Familiarity with inspection methods and techniques is an asset.
Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills will be required. Interpersonal skills that foster conflict resolution as it relates to technical situations will be required
Experience in metal manufacturing is required
Process Excellence/Lean experience is an asset
Process validation experience is required

Roles and Responsibilities
Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs
Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment conferring with equipment vendors
Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout
Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities establishing standards, confirming manufacturing processes
Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations
Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer''s instructions and established procedures; requesting special service
Design new systems, equipment and processes for the introduction of new products or for the improvement of existing ones
Plan and organize maintenance of equipment
Identify faults, investigate production problems and repair equipment quickly and efficiently
Improve current operations wherever possible
Supervise junior engineers and sub-contractors and ensure effective communication in order to avoid errors
