Job Title: Vmware System Admin – USC, GC Only

Need Locals who can come for F2F

Job Location: Dallas, TX

Duration: 6 Months Contract to Hire

Experience: 5-8 Years

Mandatory Skills:

*A STEM/BS degree (Computer Science, Engineering, IT, related field), or equivalent work experience

*5-8 years of related work experience

*Extensive experience with VMWare vCenter

*Extensive experience with MS Clustering and Load Balancing

*Extensive experience with SQL clustering (Always On)

*Expert experience with Windows Sever and Active Directory including Local Group and Security Policies, Security hardening and Remediation

*Familiarity with Exchange, SharePoint, office 365, Failover Clustering, Certificate Services, IIS, and other related technologies.

*Be able to write and execute Powershell scripts



Preferred Skills

*Previous banking experience

*Microsoft Certified Professional

*Excellent time management skills and ability to balance multiple priorities

*Self-motivated and works well in a diverse team environment with the ability to meet deadlines

*Intermediate proficiency with rack server hardware (HP, Dell, etc

*Expert knowledge of network interfaces, cabling and components (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, WINS)

*Expert proficiency with Windows Server 2003, 2008 and/or 2012 (R2)

*Experience with Windows Server hardware and software problem determination, capacity planning, and root cause analysis

*Knowledge of Storage Area Networks and Virtualization



Responsibilities Include:



*Participate in Quarterly DR exercises and be highly available in case of an actual DR event

*Protect production by exercising sound judgment and following operational practices and procedures

*Administration in all aspects of maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server environment in a hybrid cloud configuration

*Use PowerShell and VBScripts to perform various administration, reporting and automation tasks

*Use enterprise toolsets such as: VMWare vCenter, Blade Logic, SCCM, SCOM, Service Now

*Following a build process: plan, build and implement physical and virtual Windows servers

*Enforce security controls and maintain operation readiness

*Provide general support activities to restore service in break/fix situations

*Assist with Quality Assurance, performance analysis, and security remediation of Windows Servers

*Assist with 24×7 on-call support for Windows Server (rotating schedule, as necessary)

*Assist with the creation of documentation for various server processes

*Assist with Windows Server business continuity exercises, as needed

*Engage in Audit and control related activities
