Position Description
Key responsibilities:
Review, analyze and modify current API programs and recommend changes based controlled performance testing.
Consult with project managers, team members and users to identify current operating procedures and clarify project objectives.
Design and write new or modify existing programs to perform better without changing the business logic
Conduct testing by developing test data by following test plans to ensure programs meet standards and specification.
Assist with project/system releases.
Research errors to determine root cause and take appropriate steps to correct errors.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
Prior experience with performance tuning of DB2 SQL in an online environment with very high traffic
Experience in solution architecture for mainframes
Strong knowledge of CICS, DB2, COBOL, JCL, ISPF
Applied knowledge of IBM z/OS; demonstrable skills in multi-tasking
