Job Description:
esponsibilities
· Increase availability and performance of the transportation management system – including mobile applications
· Manage fleet management information systems through overall coordination, status reporting and stability of system-oriented work efforts
· Bring in knowledge of best practices to drive continuous improvement of systems
· Manage data integration solutions and support
· Assist with requirement documentation, design, and implementation for customized reports
· Coordinate technology installations and upgrades with external partners
· Maintain operating systems and configuration of computer systems
Knowledge, Skills or Abilities
· BS in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience
· MS SQL Server (3-5 years)
· Writing and maintaining SQL scripts and stored procedures
· Design, code, test, and aggregate results from SQL queries to provide data to users
· Report development, SSRS is nice to have
· Experience with Trimble (PeopleNet, TMW, PC Miler) – strong plus
· Some experience with MS Exchange server administration
· Occasional travel to operating locations
· Understanding of transportation industry
· Highly organized, detail-orientated and possess well-developed communication skills, able to work with end users in requirements gathering process
· Proven project management experience
· The ability to do independent and thorough analysis of problems and needs prior to involving outside resources.
· Desire and ability to learn quickly and a willingness to assist in a variety of technologies.
