Title:Junior Voice/Data Engineer

Job description

Interview Type: Skype

Role Description:

Provide First level support in the IT communications group
oSupport / Maintenance / Service Desk requests
oMonitor and support the performance of all network infrastructure
oUtilize Solarwinds ORION to research & diagnose problems
oProvide front-line interaction with the User Community
Support Adds/Moves/Changes
oVOIP Phone system
oNetwork connectivity
oProvide post implementation break/fix support
oOther network projects as assigned
General
oPerform root cause analysis, debugging, and problem resolution
oFollow Change Management processes and procedures
oCreate and maintain requirements, documentation, and procedures.
oDevelop and maintain configuration documentation
oCommunicate both verbally and in writing with managers, other network support staff and
with business unit users
oPerform capability/knowledge transfer to staff
oPossess excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Required Skills:

Cisco Route\Switch – 2-3 Years
Experience/Expertise in the following areas: Cisco Route/Switch (Configuration &
Troubleshooting);
Cisco Unified Communications: Call Manager (latest version); Unity; Presence; Voice
Gateways; Phones; ATAs
Network monitoring/management systems
Experience/Expertise working with: Nortel PBX - Option 81/61/11 – Nortel; Command line
Experience/Expertise working with: Cisco WAAS;
Experience/Expertise working with: Microsoft Office Products

Desired Skills:
Experience/Expertise working with: Solarwinds Orion (latest version);
Experience/Expertise working with: Cisco WCS – wireless bridging & Aps;
Experience/Expertise working with: Cisco Nexus Switches; Digi Terminal Servers
Experience/Expertise working with: Cisco IPICS 2.2(1) & 4.x ; Cisco 809 cellular routers
