Business Intelligence Developer. We are currently seeking a qualified contract Business Intelligence Developer to supplement the IT team at our client located in Columbus, Ohio. This developer will be involved in all facets of the Business Intelligence initiative. This includes application development, design, maintenance and operations.
Responsibilities:
Operational – Execute and monitor daily processing of data for BI Dashboards. Configure and administer Microsoft Power BI dashboards, reports and datasets
Business Requirements – Interact with analysts to gain insights on business logic. Analyze client’s business and data requirements and convert them into Microsoft Power BI dashboards and solutions.
ETL Development – Develop ETL software for extracting data from source systems.
Data Modeling - Create data models for use in the BI Dashboards.
Dashboard Design – Create powerful BI Dashboards by visualizing data.
Other - Work with customers to engage user community and promote platform adoption. Serve as a subject matter expert for BI end user solutions, including sharing skills with technically-inclined business users.
Write and maintain technical documentation.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field of study
2+ years’ experience developing Business Intelligence Applications/Dashboards:
Microsoft Power BI / SSRS / SSIS
Experience with Oracle ERP and/or SAP ERP.
Experience using relational databases, such as: MS SQL Server and Oracle.
Proficient in Excel and VBA.
Proficient in SQL and ETL techniques.
Familiarity with PDLC and Agile development methodology. This includes project planning, requirements gathering, data analysis, documentation, and dashboard design.
